The music and I

When I was a 6th grade student at elementary school. My teacher gave me a
subject of composition :what do you want to be ? I remembered that my will was to
be a musician. Although my cognition to music was not much. I was very sensitive to
music. My financial condition and surroundings couldn’t allow me to learn music at
that time. I just played the harmonic at high school and I enjoyed it very much.
When I studied at medical school in Taipei. I always went Dr. Sun Yat-Sen
menorial Hall to see and enjoy various kinds of musical performances.
18 yrs ago, I came back to my birth place-Hsin-Ying city and set up an obstetric
clinic. 11 yrs ago, to memorize my elemantory school teacher-Mr. 鄭奇章 . We built a
musical hall at Hsin-Ming elementary school, in which we also established a musical
class to educate those talented students. 4 yrs later,we build another musical hall in
Nan-Hsin junior high school to extend high guality musical education.
10 yrs ago, we invited some friends who likes music and arganized The Tainan
County Hsin-Ying philharmonic society. We had delivered more than 200 diffident
kinds of outdoor musical performances at the park or the plaza of temples.
In my hospital, I set up a small concert hall—Fazioli-Hall. Because we have a
Fazioli piano. It is the best and largest piano in the world. It was made to memorize
2000 yrs, it is red color and there is a painting of Venice on the cover of the piano.
We had invited many great pianists and musicians in the world over here to perform.
In recent 10 yrs, we had delivered more than 35 family salon.Many friends asked
me why I spent so much money to buy the paino. I told to them:only best piano can
attract best pianist to perfome in this small city.
10 yrs passed by quickly and we had got some achivements. The orchistras of
Hsin-Ming and Nan-Hsin musical classes had won many prizes in various musical
competitions. Now, in the musical world in Taiwan, People know Hsin-Ying city is no
more a musical desert. Many famous pianist in the world want to perform at Hsin-Ying
city. Because they know Hsin-Ying has a best piano and many lovers of music.
Our city has a beautiful place --the Swan Lake. In recent 3 year. We offered 10
outdoor performances in summer and autum season every year. The response from
the citizens was very good. We will arrange to set up a stage on the side of the lake.
Every weekend, we may arrange outdoor performance. Our citizens and students
may have the chance to play and show their talent and skill in music.
More than 2000 yrs ago, Confucius had said:if we want to change the custom
of a society, nothing is better than the music. Many friends asked me why I spent so
much money and time in promoting musical activities. I just want to say :the music
touches me! I always believe the music is the best gift that the god sent to the people!
Only lucky man can enjoy the good music. I have a dream:one day,our Hsin-Ying city
really become a singing city,a musical city I wish all of you are lucky men!
