「磚頭隕落，教師殞命」地方報紙斗大的標題，
報導著鄭奇章老師帶領學生到新營國小參觀航空模型
展覽時，被落下的磚頭擊中頭部。恩師逝世的消息，
如晴天霹靂般震驚了全校師生。
張醫師帶著十幾位同學到鄭老師的學甲老家參加
公祭，同學們悲慟不已。
公祭時，甫上高一的張醫師默默的許下了心願 :
他認為一位為教育付出生命的老師不應被淡忘，如果
將來有能力，一定要為恩師蓋一座紀念館！
Teacher Zheng’s death shocked the whole
school like a thunder from clear sky. All of his
students were filled with deep sorrow. During
the memorial ceremony, Dr. Chang quietly made
a self-commitment to build a memorial for the
mentor.
因為一天要當兩天用，所以鄭老師必須每天從早到晚不停的講
課，他的喉嚨沙啞了，桌上經常泡著一杯「澎大海」來保養喉嚨。
有一次老師因為打排球，右眼受了傷，矇著眼罩，老師也沒有請
假，賣命的教學。
經過一年的努力，終於拼出了全校最亮麗的升學成績，張兆榮醫
師以全校第二名畢業，並考上當時雲嘉南地區首屈一指的省嘉中初中
部。
Teacher Zheng’s right eye got injured when he was playing
volleyball, but he didn’t ask for time off. After a year of effort,
his class achieved the best grades in school.
